The Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (Costech) is formalizing a public-private partnership agreement to develop an ICT park in Dar es Salaam. A statement issued by Costech said the park will be developed jointly with Seacom Ltd (Seacom) and a consortium of private national as well as global investors. It will facilitate innovation, create quality jobs for Tanzanians and modernise the region’s ICT landscape.
“The park will be the first ‘smart village’ geographic cluster of its kind in East Africa. It will be enabled by international high speed broadband access and global calibre end-to-end ICT infrastructure,” reads part of the statement.
