Brazilian state-owned telecommunications company Telebras has signed an agreement with Ascenty to have its metropolitan POP hosted at the Ascenty data centre in Campinas.

Companies in the macro-region of Campinas will benefit from the new data centre, which will be opened in August following a BRL 250 million investment. Under the terms of the agreement, Telebras will also be one of the leading providers of bandwidth for Ascenty.
