Telecom company opens data centre at STEP

A telecommunications company has opened a new data centre in the Saratoga Technology b Energy Park in Malta, New York. The company, tw telecom, is occupying 13,000 sq ft of space the STEP park, which is owned by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.

 

The colocation facility provides back-up communication services to clients. The company has 29 people at the site, including workers moved from an office on Airline Drive in Colonie, said Jeffrey Gordon, a spokesman from NYSERDA.
