Terremark increases capacity in Brazilian data centre

Terremark, a Verizon Company, continues to invest in the fast-growing Latin American market with the latest expansion its Sao Paulo data centre, the Network Access Point do Brasil. Once completed, the cloud-enabled facility will have 70,000 sq ft of raised data centre floor space and will be able to house 150,000 servers in a connected, secure and redundant ecosystem.

The expansion of Terremark's operations in Brazil results from ever-increasing customer demand, making this expansion launch the second in the last year. The increased investment in Latin America is part of Terremark's global strategy to make advanced IT solutions available through a network of nearly 50 strategically located data centres around the world. Through the NAP do Brasil and the recently expanded NAP of the Americas-Colombia facilities, Terremark collectively offers more than 90,000 sq ft of raised data centre floor space in Latin America.
