Media group Stampen, Sweden, has decided to outsource a large part of its IT operations to Tieto. The agreement runs over five years and includes a consolidation of Stampen's IT environment into Tieto's data centre, operation of business-critical systems and the introduction of a new workplace concept for around 2 500 employees. In addition, around 30 Stampen employees will be transferred to Tieto. The five-year agreement corresponds to an order value of approximately €21.5 million.

Stampen's business places stringent demands on availability, covering newspaper production, digital media and an extensive printing operation. In addition to providing infrastructure services, Tieto will also assume operational responsibility for most of the business critical systems.
