Versace increases data centre efficiency with Oracle VM

Oracle has announced international fashion icon, Versace, is using Oracle VM Server for x86 to address the demands of its rapidly expanding data centre.  To ensure their IT infrastructure could meet the growing demands of the business, Versace began an upgrade process that would replace aging IT components with lower cost, higher performance solutions.

By choosing Oracle VM, Versace was able to reduce virtualization-related costs by 50%, while doubling the number of cores in production. With its new Oracle VM-based architecture, which also leverages Oracle Linux, Versace has been able to reduce its physical number of servers by 40%, rack space by 25% and power consumption by 45%.
