ViaWest signs lease for new data centre in Las Vegas
ViaWest, one of the largest privately-held data centre, cloud computing and managed services providers in North America, has announced it has completed a lease agreement on a 110,000 sq ft facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada, which will house its second data centre in the greater Las Vegas area. This new facility will employ the highest standards in data centre design and energy efficiency and is expected to be LEED and ENERGY STAR Certified. Opening and available for new customers in Q1 2013, the facility will ultimately offer more than 70,000 sq ft of raised floor colocation space.
With a 2(N+1) UPS configuration, ViaWest’s North Las Vegas facility will provide reliable power with high-density and flexible configurations. The SSAE 16/SOC 1 and SOC 3 compliant data center will be backed by ViaWest’s industry leading 100% Service Level Agreement on power, bandwidth and network services. Managed by 24x7 expert support staff and onsite engineers, ViaWest’s commitment to its customers and delivering customized solutions centered around them will remain a core focus for the new facility.
ViaWest’s North Las Vegas facility will be one of the greenest data centers in the United States, incorporating the latest in ViaWest’s cooling technology, custom designed for the Las Vegas climate. This 10MW+ powered site will be engineered with multiple medium voltage utility feeders, which further ensure power diversity and reliability. Upon completion of this facility, ViaWest will offer over 450,000 square feet of usable raised floor data centre space across 23 data centers throughout Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, and Utah.
