Zayo expands to Richmond with new network build

Zayo Group has announced that it will be expanding its fibre network into Richmond, Virginia. The build of 60 miles will mark Zayo's initial Dark Fiber presence in Richmond. The project is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2012.

Once complete, the 60-mile build will consist of a metro ring through the southeast portion of the Richmond Central Business District and a larger ring with connectivity up to Henrico and Laurel. Alongside the new fibre build, Zayo will now have diverse access into a large data centre campus in Richmond.
