5th Power and Cooling for Data Centres

The annual global event for CIOs, IT and Facilities leaders and Infrastructure executives who share the need for thought provoking real-time answers to their power and cooling challenges

The Data Centre sector is this year presented with the most extensive and far reaching programme detailing tested and new approaches to power, energy, Green and cooling. With the benefit of an outstanding global panel of thought leaders, expert industry speakers, and senior executives from provider and user organizations, the range of topics covered will reflect the fast pace of change in power and cooling design, technological development and solution deployment and the many challenges they represent.

As companies strive towards CO2 neutrality, the programme reveals the scale of possibilities to reduce energy consumption and increase efficiencies at every level throughout the data centre. Both practical and economic solutions are now available, but as innovation is sustained, what steps should be taken now and in the medium term?

To enable a comprehensive learning experience, the programme format will feature visionary keynotes, solo specialist presentations, panel debate sessions and case studies. In an innovation we will also be introducing “thinktanks” where provider and enterprise user organizations channel feedback and commentary on key issues and topics.

The conference occurs just at the time when initiatives to standardise the measurement of energy efficiency in the EU, the introduction of the EU Code of Conduct, and the drive for internationally accepted standards by the Green Grid are being discussed and promoted.

Yet it is the increasingly fast paced Cloud that provides the wider context for the conference and understanding innovation occurring in cloud energy and examples of the new developments underway will feature throughout the programme.

Overall attendees will be provided with thought provoking answers to the many questions arising from power and cooling, Green and energy developments, gain tremendous insight into the very latest technological developments, and take away practical lessons to apply in their own businesses or in their business planning.

What they said about Power & Cooling 2009

“The Power & Cooling for Data Centres conference 2009 had something for everyone, not just suppliers. The sharing of information and the open forums were hugely beneficial and the access to Industry updates critical in an ever changing environment. As a Data Centre Owner-Operator, I found a wealth of information and contacts that I am sure will assist me greatly in the future. I highly recommend this conference and BroadGroup services in general. This is the one conference I wouldn't miss.”

Karl Hennessy, Chief Operations Office, Citadel100 Data Centers Ltd

"The conference went well - it was unusual to get to give quotes on the spot to 4 companies!.. and 2 potential distributors of our air flow management products: one in the Uk and one in France . And, to top that, a contact at one of the major players in the industry who may be interested in what we do! Obviously the proof will be if they turn to concrete orders but it was reassuring to get so much interest"

Jeremy Hartley, Managing Director, eCool Solutions, Dataracks

"As someone who attends a great many Data Centre conferences, it is often difficult to get genuinely fresh content and ideas. However, The Power & Cooling for Data Centres conference managed to provide thought provoking discussions led by an excellent panel of hosts and speakers on increasingly important industry topics. Data Centre owners/operators face tough challenges ahead such as the CRC and trying to lower PUE's to maximise operational efficiencies whilst addressing their CSR responsibilities and this conference went along way in helping address many of those issues."
