T-Systems has announced a raft of international outsourcing and managed service deals over the past month including a deal with Royal & Sun Alliance (R&SA) one of the UK’s largest insurers to outsource its UK IT operations. The deal has a value of 130 Euro over 10 years. The company has also been awarded a new contract by the French railways system SNCF to operate and maintain the customer service portal and call centre aimed at passengers with disabilities and the Spanish hotel chain Prestige Hotels has outsourced its Spanish IT infrastructure to T-Systems in an 8 year contract. The servers will be hosted in a T-Systems Data Centre and the company will also be responsible for all of the computers and service desk and maintenance.

Italian publishing house De Agostini Editore has outsourced its ICT infrastructure to T-Systems in Italy as part of a 5 year deal. It includes IT infrastructure, desktop services and helpdesk. Projects to be undertaken include server consolidation, storage consolidation, Data Centre management and connectivity to the T-Systems Data Centre with MPLS connectivity and telephony services to be also provided.

BZ Bank in Switzerland has selected T-Systems to provide a banking solution on the basis of an application service provision (ASP) model. T-Systems will be the general contractor on the project and will take over the operation and maintenance of the Bank’s IT infrastructure. T-Systems will be responsible for application licences, service desk, support and maintenance in association with other suppliers.

Finally, OMV AG, an Austrian based oil and gas company with operations in Central & Eastern Europe has used T-Systems to introduce a new web portal and new intranet service throughout the OMV group.
