Sun has added products and services to its Sun Grid utility-computing offering. The company believes utility computing will enhance the speed of accessing, managing, and leveraging IT power. Sun also unveiled N1 System Manager, life-cycle-management software for deploying, monitoring, patching, and managing Sun servers based on Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s 64-bit chips. The software lets customers manage multiple racks of Sun systems from a single console.
