New Player Galileo Connect Announces GBP540 Million International Market Entry

Galileo Connect has announced a GBP540m global expansion in London, Paris, Singapore, Canberra and Sydney. The company specialises in pre-designed modular data centres, has announced its plans for global expansion, releasing the details of confirmed data centre sites in the London, Paris, Singapore, Canberra and Sydney with further developments expected in Brussels, Mumbai and Delhi.

The company has commenced construction of four data centres in separate city locations. The fifth site to start construction is the recently acquired three acre site in Loughton, Essex. The GBP40million development is programmed for completion in October 2008.

Simultaneously, Galileo Connect will construct a GBP200million modular data centre in Paris, France. Thanks to the company’s unique methodology, which streamlines, standardises and automates the complex, risky and time consuming process associated with designing and building data centres, this site will be completed by September 2008 providing a resilient and cost effective hub for European businesses.

A third development, worth $400million has been confirmed in Canberra, Australia Galileo Connect’s team has been commissioned to design and construct in excess of 10 million square feet of data centre facilities globally.
