Blackstone Real Estate has completed the acquisition of additional Northern Virginia data centre campuses from QTS Realty Trust, expanding its already significant footprint in the world's largest data centre market. The transaction, valued at approximately $2.4 billion, adds 320 MW of critical IT capacity across multiple facilities in Loudoun County and Prince William County.

The deal underscores Blackstone's continued conviction in the data centre sector, particularly in Northern Virginia where demand from hyperscale cloud providers and AI workload operators continues to outpace available supply. The acquired campuses include a mix of fully leased operational facilities and development-ready land parcels with secured power entitlements.

Industry analysts note that this acquisition positions Blackstone's QTS platform as one of the largest private data centre operators in the NOVA market, with a combined portfolio exceeding 800 MW of total capacity. The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2026, subject to standard regulatory approvals.
