Microsoft has announced plans for 15 data centres at the former Foxconn manufacturing site in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, representing a $13 billion investment. The campus will deliver approximately 500 MW of capacity for Azure cloud and AI services.
The adaptive reuse of the Foxconn site represents one of the largest economic redevelopment stories in recent US history. Microsoft's investment transforms a controversial and largely abandoned manufacturing project into a major digital infrastructure hub serving the Midwest.
