Amazon Web Services has committed $5.3 billion to develop a three-phase data centre region in Saudi Arabia. Phase 1 delivers a 65 MW Tier III facility in Riyadh, Phase 2 a 50 MW facility in Jeddah, and Phase 3 a 72 MW facility spanning Dammam and NEOM.
The investment makes Saudi Arabia one of AWS's most significant Middle Eastern commitments and positions the kingdom as a major cloud services hub for the wider MENA region. The phased approach ensures capacity aligns with demand growth.
