Aligned Data Centers has announced plans for a new 200 MW hyperscale campus in West Jordan, Utah, representing a $650 million investment in the rapidly growing Salt Lake City data centre market. The campus will be developed across multiple phases, with initial capacity of 50 MW expected to be delivered in Q2 2027 and full build-out targeted for 2029.

Salt Lake City has emerged as one of the most attractive secondary data centre markets in the United States, offering competitive power costs, abundant renewable energy from nearby wind and solar installations, and a growing technology workforce. The market's strategic location also provides low-latency connectivity to both West Coast and Mountain West population centres.

Aligned's proprietary Delta3 cooling technology will be deployed throughout the campus, enabling industry-leading energy efficiency with a projected annualised PUE below 1.15. The facility design includes support for high-density deployments of up to 50 kW per rack, positioning it to serve the growing demand for AI training and inference workloads.
